Dr. Robert E. Elliott Foundation Names Memorial Award Winners

The Dr. Robert E. Elliott Foundation has named Rachel Fiori, M.D. and Abeer Washington, M.D. as the 2010 recipients of the Dr. Robert E. Elliott Memorial Award. The award is presented to two psychiatry residents, to further their educational missions in the field of mental health.

Dr. Rachel Fiori is a native of Fort Smith and attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville on a Bodenhamer Fellowship and became one of the first residents to staff the U.A.M.S. Psychiatric Research Institute-Northwest Springdale.

Dr. Abeer Washington earned a degree in psychology from U.A.L.R., a Masters Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and entered the psychiatric residency program at U.A.M.S. She is also currently a resident at the UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute-Northwest in Springdale.
